Location

I have picked the locations for my filming because they match with the themes of the genre, as the song is a country song it makes sense to locate my video in the countryside. Aswell as the fact the locations are all easily accessible for filming at any time and are close to school meaning I will be able to get from my lesson to the areas for filming without wasting alot of time.

Storyboard Narrative

The narrative for my video contains two characters one male and one female.
Male:
Female:
The video starts with the man alone in a field looking at the view clutching a box.
Then there is a flash back to him with the girl on the day they first met.
Then we go back to him alone in the middle of the field.

StoryBoard

Started to decide on the narrative of my music video I looked at other examples in the genre and decided to use a story revolving around a single character who has been rejected by love and tries to come to terms with his feelings. So I started to draw up a storyboard. Finished the storyboard on Tuesday.
I created two storyboards as the narrative of the video includes a present day event littered with flash backs so I seperated them out and made a storyboard for both the main story and flashbacks.

Lightning

This song has a similar story as 'The Ring of Fire' but it is more obvious, it is also about something natural in this case a Lightning Storm instead of Fire.

The importance of the weather is emphasized in this video by its constant presence in the background of the video, and the odd quick cut to the lightning in the window in the video make it seem like there is actually a lightning storm in out side. The single candle in the video makes the darkness more pronounced and sets the mood of the video, it also connotes that the character lonely in this video as the candle is his only companion during the storm.

Weather

The weather for the next week is going to be rather miserable, the temperature will be not to bad but the rain will be annoying for people planning on filming. Mondays looks good though.

This may effect my filming schedule as I can't film in the rain but I will film as soon as possible.

Blog Design Questions

Character and more

I started on Wednesday to create a character for my video, I have been ill but that never stopped me before so I have been working on it, unfortunately my room has limited internet and I have only just been able to send this.
Character:

• Grey shirt
• Dark Blue Jeans
• Black Jacket
• Black shoes/Boots
• Brown or Black hair

Emotions: Depressed/in Pain,Sad, Happy, Cherrful.

Location: By a stream, on a fench, in a field, on a stage

Weather:Dark sky, Sun shines through, In doors.

The last point maybe difficult to pull off as autumn to winter the sun pretty much fades away,

but I think we can pull it off.
