Filming

I finished all of my outdoor filming today and only have a fue more shots left to film so I will be starting the editing at the start of this week.
Here are a few shots of us getting ready for filming, before going out to film in the selected location.

Halloween

Today is Halloween and I just thought I discuss the themes of Halloween,

The main themes of Halloween these days are ones of humour and fun, which is combined with the emotions of Fear and Happiness, two concepts that are rarely put together as they are almost complete opposites. But they seem atleast to work well on halloween a time of year for telling scary stories and trick or treating with younger members of family. These days though as with most things its about the parties and getting together with friends to watch scary movies, wich just goes to show that this is another season celebration that has fallen into the comercial hands of big businesses trying to sqeeze every drop of money out of the holidays.

Fire test

I decided that the my raft would need an accelerant to burn properly as the green wood the branch are made from don't burn well on their own.
So have decided that the best choice of accelerant to use for this task is lighter fuel, which is also used to light barbecues and start bonfires. But to assure the raft is unharmed in the making of the Draft of my video I will be using Methylated Spirits as this will allow me to control which parts of the raft burn and which parts don't burn.

Below is a list of things I need to do over the next couple of weeks. I have starte the list with the most urgent as it seems like the way to start.

Fire

I decided that I would use methylated spirites for the fire on the raft during my draft filming and lighter fuel for the final video.
The reason for this is methylated spirites is a controlable flammable substance that will burn at a controlled rate rather then burning out of control.
And I am using the lighter fuel for the final cut as it will give the scene a more entertaining scene and will show case the dangerous and destruction nature of fire.
Here is an example of this destructive nature at work.

Film plan

I intend on doing most of my filming this weekend as it gives me the equvilent of three days to work on it and to setup the props I will need.
