Without the feedback from my audience creating the final result would have been impossible, as it their comments that instigated my changes to video and gave me and the audience the final product.
Example of this can be found by comparing my original draft piece with the final version of the video.
As it becomes perfectly clear that the style of video has changed, from a narrative based video to a performance based video.






Most of my audience loved the fact I was going to use real fire in video although a few were sceptical due to the potential health and safety risks.
After starting the planning process for the re-filming it became clear that it was to risky to use the literal ring of fire in the video as it was being moved inside.
But it was suggested by one of my actors during the filming of the final video that we keep the ring of fire in the video by filming it in the basement where it was safe.
I jumped at the chance and we managed to find space in the editing to include it.

The amount of feedback I have received through out the course of creating my video allowed me to constantly edit sections of it until it reached the standard of which you see now. I received comments from my peers that not only changed my work but changed my attitude as well, Mark Bramford said

I also avoided using the editing software to change the tone of the video to black and white, as after asking a number of people which style they prefered the majority said colour.

Draft Evaluation 4

I have used alot of new technology in the researching of my product, I used Youtube to so I could look at existing examples of this genre. Youtube is a good source of existing media text but it can prove to be difficult to navigate as there are so many videos on the site it is difficult to find the one that you want.
I used Scribd to get my word documents onto my blog which proved very useful although it has a tendancy to strench and distort any images on the document so its not the best alround.
SlideShare on the other had allows me to not only update my blogg with my power point presntations but also allows me to add word documents with images in a way that does not destort the image.

I have received feedback from both my teachers and the students I work with about my music video and my ancillary products their comments have been instrument in the creation of my final piece as without this feedback I would not have been able to improve my work to the level it is now.
Comments from Mr Smith about the lack of detail towards the narrative on my Draft video, and Mrs Somel's comments that the Draft was not expressing the full emotion of the characters involved.
I attempted to change this by filming some of the scenes again but even after making these changes their were to many issues left to address before it would be a half decent video and this would take alot more time then I had.
Mr Smith's possitive comments about my document like filming made me realise I should do some more filming like this for my blog.
A comment from Mark Bramford that the trouble I was having not being the end of the world, gave me some much needed motivation that help me to develope my new idea for a music video.

The combination of our ancillary Products and the music video it self work together as they are all focused on the main character in this case John Rhodes,the combination of these products together gives a clear image of John Rhodes as a person and the emotions he felt during the creation of his music video.
Looking at my music video as a base for the design for our ancillary products I decided that the ancillary products should display the same level of emotion as the video which I think links the product together effectively. The Brand image that I created from the combination of my music video and ancillary products appeals to my target audience and hopefully to others that have never listened to this style of music before.

Our video and corresponding ancillaries cannot be claimed as copyrighted from the original Johnny Cash videos, as my the ideas we have used for this product may not be new but are free of any clear links to Johnny Cashs style of music video and ancillary products. The ideas that led to the creation of this video were simple ones that could be link to all kinds of music video genres, as our original idea was set in the countryside and was a narrative video. But due to it lack of detail and failure to portray a clear story it was clear that it needed to change. After working on the video and adding new video text to it, the fact the videos main concept was flaured became clear and we began to rethink our ideas. The main issues at the time was the location and the characters as the characters had little time to spare and the location was loosing light faster due to the fast aproaching Winter months.
This led to the drastic read think that you seen as our final product,As after alot of phone calls and planning we were able get access to the location we used for the final piece. Using the equipment we had to hand we created our video,The clothing used in this video was selected to make the main character stand out against the other character that are all dressed the same. Due to personal reasons some of the characters in our video wished to stay anonamous and so their faces were removed from the video a concept not used in the Johnny Cash videos.

We researched this genre of music, through other country country musicians as well as johnny Cash's music.

Draft work

This is my First Draft for my Digi-pak work, It's abit basic but thats what makes it a good piece of work as country music CD covers are usually simple and not overly complicated. I will need to change a few details on this piece to make it at effective as possible,

This is my first Draft for my Poster, I need to work on it but it should improve in time. I will change some of the fonts and add alot more information and hopefully it will end up a good piece of advertising for my digi pak and my artist.

Poster Ideas

I have to considered alot of details when creating my poster, so I have been working on alot of different images and colour schemes for my poster the most effective appears to be the black and white colour effects, this also matches up well with the Johnny Cash element in my work as most of his existing posters are in black and white.

country music designs

Through out this stage of my project I have been studying different examples of country music designs that have already been used to get an idea of the style of work I need to include in my work. But this also alows me to avoid accidently copying someone elses designs.

Sorry I Missed a Lesson

I'm sorry I missed the lesson on Friday but I was in hospital having a procedure performed on my right foot. It required me to stay in hospital for the day due to complications and the used of a strong anaesthetic that resulted in me being unconscious for an hour, this meant I was unable to leave until 3 o'clock as the doctors needed to keep an eye on me as I recovered.
This shouldn't effect my work but it may cause me to be late to a fue lessons as I can't run on my right foot.
In the mean time I've been looking on Scribd for documents relateded to country music. I found a few interesting documents including one called happy trails about the life of Roy Rogers its quit interesting as he was a bit of a cowboy.
Heres just a small exstract.

editing changes and final video

I spend alot of time during lessons and after school editing this video,
It took a very longtime but it was definitely worth it to as the outcome greater then I thought it would be. Most of my teachers agree with this and have been a great help with all of my work so far.

Planning

The Plan at the moment is to take photos of John and use them to make the digi-pak.

After looking at these examples I have collected, I analysed these images with reference to the Country music genre and desided that the best form of altering my images for my Disk cover was the Black and White gradient change. As it looks good and matches well with the Johnny Cash CD covers that are already in the market.

Editing 2

I am continuing to edit my video this could take some time and alot of after school work but it will definitely be worth it to get a the finished result.
The video needs a few more cuts to make it perfect.

Other versions

There are alot of other versions of the Ring of Fire song by different artist and groups. Some of them from different genres and use different instruments to the original.

My video ideas

Underneath are a list of my ideas on how to improve my video for my final draft.
These lists consistof the pros and cons of each idea as well as their individual practically.

To do list

Here is a list of things I need to do and consider before I decide how I am going to create my final video and digi pack.

• Write out my three ideas for a video in detail, including pros and cons as well as practicality


• Take location shots of all theoretical locations.
  
• Decide which idea I am going to use, include a list of the cast.


• Make a prop list and risk assessment of the selected video.


• Book equipment for shooting and decide on camera placing.
