Research

Today I starting research of Other music and musicians in this genre
such as: Kenny Rogers,Hank Williams,Jimmie Rogers,Jim Reeves, Roy Rogers, Patsy Cline etc.























I also started to research the guitar, the only Musical instrument I have decided to use in the video as I have already decided some what on the narrative I will be using for the video.

  1. Fred. Remember that Johnny Cash was a deeply religious man and he loved gospel music. Try and reflect that in your mood boards, at the minute they are too 'dark', and the song it self extremely positive in the main though obviously it reflects the pain which can also come with love.

    If you have the time it's worth listening to Live at San Quentin. This is a live album of his legendary performance at San Quentin prison. Here is a video of him performing there, bear in mind all these men are extremely dangerous criminals yet they respect him implicitly.

    Despite his strong faith he was also a champion of the underdog, if you listen to the lyrics of the above song you will see his feelings about the American correctional system.

    He is also a 'story teller' in terms of his songs, I reckon you'll love this song if you've not already heard it, it 'A Boy Named Sue'

    Finally this cover version of Hurt and accompanying video has been rightly regarded as one of the greatest ever. He performed in this video knowing that his wife was dying and that he too didn't have long left to live.
