Before I make the raft for my video I will need to assess the risks involved, as I will be using sharp tools and instruments in its creation. e.g tripping with a knife or a pair of scissors.
Fred. You've missed out a fairly major risk, namely the use of fire and accelerants. This is potential danger to you and your surroundings. How will you ensure you wont burn yourself or that the raft wont float into some reads or bushes and cause a larger fire.
You can't just say 'take care' you'll need to consider prevailing wind direction as well as staying away from areas prone to igniting.
With regards filming near water you'll need supervision in case you fall in. You'll need a mobile phone available to all crew members so you can call the emergency services should something go wrong.
